In 1986 the distillery was taken over by the current owners Takara Shuzo Group.
Most of the production goes into Blends like Talisman, Big T and Antiquary.

Recently they have released Cù Bòcan which is a lightly pleated NAS bottling.
The current owners have been focusing on the quality of their single malts and from 2000 Tomatin single malts have been very highly regarded and it is one of the most reputable scotch whisky brands worldwide.

- All casks are single malt whisky except the Girvin, that is a single grain whisky.
