Aultmore Distillery Info
1895 Founded by Alexander Edward and was powered by a waterwheel then adapted to use a steam engine. This steam engine ran night and day for over 70 years, with the waterwheel taking over during maintenance downtime.
1899 Purchased by Pattisons, who went bankrupt and the distillery closed
1904 reopened but closed again during the 1st World War
1919 reopened and purchased by John Dewars and Sons Ltd. in 1923
1925 Purchased by Distillers Company
1930 Purchased by Scottish Malt Distillers
1970 Rebuilt and expanded installing 2 additional stills, 4 in total, reopening in 1971
1998 distillery sold to Bacardi, part of John Dewars and Sons Ltd.

Aultmore has a reputation for producing high quality spirit, and although the distilleries main function is to meet the demand of the blending contracts, it is increasingly being recognised for its Single Malt expressions.

• These casks will continue to mature until bottled.
• All casks are single malt whisky except the Girvin, that is a single grain whisky.
• Minimum Purchase of 2 bottles per cask.
• All customers who purchase the whisky futures will become founder members and will receive a lifetime 5% discount on all Whisky purchases going forward.
